17-18 November online Business Meetings were rather popular with members. 17 November marked the 23rd General Assembly, which gathered more than 40 participants from 17 organizations in 12 countries. As part of the regular EU Update, Jürgen Tiedje, Head of Unit, EC gave an overview of Horizon Europe, especially in relation to LEIT and NMBP. The eseia Director presented EU partnerships and discussed strategies of how eseia could be involved. The GA formally admitted Karelia University of Applied Sciences, FI and Tyndall National Institute, IEas members. The main part of the GA meeting was dedicated to the eseia Work Programme and Budget 2021. The eseia Director also presented the Progress Report 2020, which included a presentation of the eight proposals submitted, two training events carried out, and 4th eseia Conference 2020.
18 November the eseia Proposal Workshop, which a total of 60 members attended from 20 organizations in 11 countries, concentrated on three sessions on selected proposals 2021, namely on Climate Education chaired by Anca Duta, UTBv, Smart Mobility SUMRISE chaired by Brigitte Hasewend, eseia, and EU-AU Green Transition and Energy Access chaired by Fabio Montagnino, CYI.
