The eseia H2020 Phoenix project (2016-2019) organised several staff exchanges between its Consortium members during the period ranging from July to September 2019. The secondments realised during the summer period involved two Experienced Researchers (ERs) and two Early-stage Researchers (ERs) that contributed a total of six PM to the total amount of 136 PM completed by the project so far:
- Luis Duarte, ER from the National Laboratory for Energy and Geology LNEG, PT, started his secondment mid-August within the Host Organisation Green Energy Romanian Innovative Biomass Cluster Bio-C. His duty was related to the development of bioresources and bioproducts.
- Rudolf Tomić from, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of the University of Zagreb FSB-UNIZG, HR, finalised his second staff exchange within the company BRP, AT, end-July and started a new exchange period within the same host organisation in mid-August. As ER, he dealt with the provision of easy storage and transportable bio-fuels for transport and de-centralised energy provision.
- Filip Juric and Tibor Besenic, both ESRs from FSB-UNIZG, realised their secondments at the Romanian company Green Energy Innovative Biomass Cluster Bio-C. From the beginning of July to end of August, the young researchers studied the contribution of non-conventional bio-resources to stabilising energy-distribution grids and providing gas and heat-cooling energy to local and regional consumers in Romania.
The H2020 Phoenix Final Progress Meetings taking place 20 November 2019 in Brussels, BE, will count with the participation of all the Consortium as well as of Phoenix Secondees to present their exchanges and how the MSCA-RISE experience have contributed to advanced their career and research skills. eseia will also present the ‘Phoenix Who is Who’ during the meeting, a digital publication compiling all the stories behind the four-year MSCA-RISE project.
