The Commission prepares the implementation of the next EU project funding tool Horizon Europe (2021-2027) with a proposed budget of €100 billion and has opened a consultation in order to collect inputs from all over Europe to build the new Strategic Plan based on the idea of co-design.
The Commission has also invited eseia to assist in the process by collecting inputs from our extended network of eseia Member Organisations. The aim is to contribute to the Strategic Plan and the creation of the new R&I programme supporting the future of the European energy transition.
eseia invites all of its Members to fill the EC Survey and to forward a copy of your contributions to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org by 8 September 2019. eseia would like to send a joint version of the contributions made by all eseia Members. What do you think are the most pressing challenges that EU-funded R&I should tackle? What are the most important impacts – scientific, technological, economic, societal – that it should target?
The European Commission DG Research & Innovation will present the results during their annual flagship event ‘European Research and Innovation Days’ in which eseia will actively participate from 24 to 26 September 2019.
The event gathers Europe’s researchers, scientists, innovators and policy makers and constitutes an important part of the strategic planning process that sets the foundations for the Horizon Europe programme.
The EC survey and a draft agenda for the European R&I Days is provided below in More Information.
