In 2018, 120 PM have been completed under the People for the European Energy Mix –Phoenix- project. The total number of secondees until the end of the year is 42.
Last Phoenix project meeting held 14th November brought together the majority of the consortium members involved to present the project´s achievements and discuss on next steps.
To 2018, Phoenix has realised 120PM out of the 306 committed till the end of the project. For instance, the secondment between BTNU and UNIZG-FBT, focused on non-conventional bio-resource based bio-refineries, involved two secondees dealing with bioethanol and biogas production from different renewable raw materials, as well as with its separation and purification. The evaluation of the sustainability of these two bioprocesses was also analysed through Life Cycle assessment (LCA).
On the other hand, the secondment between UNIZG-FBT and NAS RA, was dealing with biodiesel and high added value chemicals production.
The main topics of Phoenix exchanges are Non-conventional Bio-resources to Bio-fuels, Advanced Bio-refinery Systems based on Under-utilised Biomass, and Bio-resource-based Multi-valent Energy Technologies.
