As a European association, eseia takes very seriously on data protection. Therefore, our data policy statement, last modified May 2018 according to the European GDPR, has been reviewed and updated with specific outlines regarding the legitimacy of data use.
Following the public concern on the way our personal data is managed and used nowadays, eseia is focused on making clear the purposes of our databases and its legitimacy, as well as our security and protection processes.
Keeping ahead of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), eseia periodically revises its Data Privacy Statement and communicates any update or modification to its members and users, both through the eseia Website and the eseia Newsletter.
This way, eseia compromises with data protection and builds trust with all eseia members and users by reminding them of their right to control their personal data privacy. Furthermore, eseia underlines the legitimate interest of members and users to receive eseia products which can contribute to their performance in the field of renewable energy systems development. At the same time, the association stresses its legitimate interest as a non-profit organisation in the sector of sustainable energies to make itself visible through the promotion of its knowledge, skills, and experience.
eseia also communicates the update on security processes and the implementation of further actions in order to enhance data protection by enabling more strict restrictions on internal data management.
