Early in March, Graz-based universities under the umbrella of Sustainability4U in Graz launched a series of lectures called “Mit 17 die Welt retten” referring to the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations. The lecture series was opened 7 March by the eseia President Harald Kainz on the topic of SDG 6 - 'Clean Water and Sanitation' in which he outlined the importance of access to clean water on our planet for all. The second lecture 14 March was given by Michael Narodoslawsky, Coordinator of the eseia Working Group Bioresources on the topic of "SDG 12 – Sustainable Consumption" in which he made the case that each one of us holds the key to sustainable production by making the right choices. This lecture series which has particularly become popular with young people is moderated by Urs Hirschberg, Head of the Institute for Architecture and Media at TU Graz.
