The involvement of the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery Polish Academy of Sciences (IMP-PAN) in the SuPREME project led the organisation to secure 5 Mio. euro funding within the BIOSTRATEG Programme on eco-energy technologies. With agricultural production on the rise, IMP-PAN will focus to develop technologies for the sustainable development of rural areas as to lower the emissions of agricultural production in the project “New renewable energy technologies for sustainable development of rural areas and low-carbon agriculture”. The Polish institute, alongside its scientific and industrial partners will focus on five strategic areas, namely food security and safety, management of natural resources, climate change mitigation, protection of biodiversity and sustainable development, and forestry and wood industries. The Programme, created by the National Centre for Research and Development, received the approval from the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education and included 50 projects.
